Since 2010 Paul has specialized exclusively on the Brooklyn townhouse market. Paul brings a wealth of brokerage, marketing and analytical experience to this work. Committed to his clients’ success, Paul is known for his warmth, work ethic, analytical skills and negotiating savvy. He knows how to listen, how to ask the right questions, and how to get a deal done successfully. Paul has published his Brooklyn Townhouse Report since 2010, with over 250 reports issued to date and thousands of townhouses photographed and analyzed.
Paul’s passion for real estate includes a sideline buying and renovating townhouses. Having bought, gut renovated, and sold three historic townhouses, Paul now owns and leases two multi-family brownstones. Paul understands what it takes to find a diamond in the rough and transform a wreck into a showplace, even in trying economic times. He also knows how to bring buyers and sellers together, drawing upon a strong network of contractors, architects, engineers, suppliers, and other real estate professionals that he gladly shares with his clients to ensure a seamless deal.
Paul got his first brokerage and sales experience in Moscow, Russia, where he helped build a freight forwarding company specialized in providing air and ocean freight services to and from Russia. Following this entrepreneurial endeavor, he acquired an entirely different set of corporate skills at American Express, where he held manager and director-level marketing and product development positions for 10 years.
Prior to that, Paul completed an MBA at Columbia Business School, where he was awarded the Bronfman Fellowship, a merit fellowship covering the full cost of tuition. He holds a B.A. in Russian Studies and History from Northwestern University, where he graduated with Honors, Distinction, and Phi Beta Kappa. Paul lives in Cobble Hill, where he is involved in his latest renovation project.
